Anne Nedelka

I believe in helping individuals build on strengths instead of focusing on weaknesses. I aim to help my clients make wise choices and to trust their intuition and finding a state of internal peace.

Anne Nedelka is a licensed professional counselor in the state of NJ. She has been practicing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for 19 years. Anne uses a dialectical approach focusing on skills to improve mindfulness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Anne works with all age groups and also has a certificate in gerontology. Anne has been providing school based mental health services at a technical high school for the past seven years and has been successfully helping students with anger management and other varied psychosocial issues.

Anne has worked in many hospitals in the past including Newton Medical Center, where she ran DBT groups.While at St, Clare's hospital she ran family therapy groups.,While at Carrier Clinic she provided intake assessments and triaged clients as an admissions clinician. When she was at UMDNJ in gero-psychiatric services; she provided all levels of care. Anne likes to incorporate a warm style to her counseling practice helping clients to feel genuinely cared for and respected.
